Hey everyone!
Thought I would introduce myself and share a little of my journey. I’m 5’6 & have spent most of my adult life fighting to keep the scales somewhere between 70–90kg. My relationship with food has been a challenge for as long as I can remember, particularly emotional eating, but two years ago I brokered a deal between my mental, emotional and physical state. It worked!
Since then, I’ve drop 15+ kgs and maintaining at 53–55kg, and for the first time in my life, I’m having a much healthier relationship with food. The scales are next in the firing line!
In June I turned 49 & decided I don’t want to be skinny-flat or simply chase a low number on the scales. I want muscle, shape, strength and a body that I like the look of in the mirror. I’ve started using weights (which I have a love/hate relationship with) and for the first time since my 20’s, I’m seeing results. I put a lot of that down to consistency, a lower body fat percentage and my husband’s encouragement.
So, the big goal? To be in the best shape of my life at 50 (June 2027) next year!
Growing up in the 80’s Ripley from Aliens was my hero, hence the username. It’s not lost on me that I’m 21 years older than Sigourney Weaver when she filmed Aliens, but I’m ambitious.
It took 49 years to finally like my physical reflection, so “show me how good it can get!”
A huge thank you to @Onyx Labs for coming on board as a sponsor and accountability buddy. I’m excited to be part of this community, share the wins, learn heaps and hopefully inspire a few others along the way. Here’s to building muscle, chasing strength and remembering that the scales don’t get the final say!
My weekly peptide stack is:
GHKC u
MOTS C
NAD+
BPC
All sponsored by @Onyx Labs - champions!
Current training twice a week full body, here’s today’s session:
All weights in kg and total bar weight, single DB or cable stack.
8/11/26
45 degree Back raise (5) BW x 10, 15x 6, 25x 11
Leg press 60 x 10, 100x 6, 115x 10
Smith bench press 25 x 10, 32.5x 6, 40x8 & 6
Cable Pull-down 15x 10, 25x 6, 35x10
Smith shoulder press bar x10, 25x 6, 30x8
Biceps bar cable curl 15x 10, 20x6, 25x 12
Triceps bar cable push down 20x10, 25x 6, 30x 12
I hate tracking because I can get stuck in the numbers but my Macros are:
Carbs 40%
Protein 30%
Fat 30%
1500 calories a day
I’ve spent years avoiding carbs, tried low carb and keto with various (temporary results) but after years of “chronic fatigue” I realise need carbs to build muscle.
Before and current photo are very uncomfortable to share but I figure it’ll push me
