You should inject sustanon minimum 1 time per week. Every other day is too much. But every 2 weeks is too little.
250mgs sustanon/week is a good start.

sustanon for TRT was designed to be injected INFREQUENTLY

so you inject 1CC every 2 weeks and i've ever seen guys do once every 3 weeks even. your doctor is absolutely correct and you should listen to him and not bro scientists

250mgs per week would be sufficient amount, every 2nd day is to short, while every 2 weeks is too long

It all depends on what your bloods say. If things are good, every 2 weeks will be fine. The most optimal TRT will always be pinning as often as possible though. Every day would be the best but doesn't work for everyone. You just have to think that our bodies would create testosterone every day so if you want to mimic that then pin every day. Esters do not work the same way our bodies do.
