You can certainly do self TRT. Many people do. I don't know what the statistics are but you can certainly get it done as long as you are willing to get your blood work done on your own.
I've always done deca at 300 mg a week with great results. You can stack in 400 to 500 mg of testosterone if you want. You can even add some dbol if you want a further bulk up.
I would do box squats. This really trains yourself to really engage your glutes. I think that's a big mistake a lot of guys make. They don't engage their glutes enough.
