Agree with you however for me I can say than I already train 3 times a day then I saw that go to overtraining specially when you are 40+ years old is not so productive need to consider recovery days ( mean low intensity cardio) more cleaver but just my experience
Yes right for me was good learning than if you want perform at running need to focus on running but as bodybuilding is my main sport running and cycling for me will be more efficient either more days on zone 2
Sure for the running I understand just completed a 3 month preparation for a marathon and you right the fatigue than but on the body is crazy now just light run every morning on treadmill
