well, the truth is there is no set number. people who consume that much protein a day will have to keep eating more and more of it over time because their body are unable to absorb nutrition from their food. that is why every bodybuilder in their 40's has gut health issues and deficiencies
if your body is super efficient like mine is you "NEED" 0-150g a day which is what i get depending on the day. yes some days i get none, some days i might get 150. today i would estimate i got somewhere over 100g, i had some beef and steak
now besides me being a smartass answering your question the recent studies on this matter have showed that weight trainers need .6g per day of protein per pound. so a 200 pound guy should shoot for 120g a day but like i said there is no minimum. if you eat under that your muscles aren't going to dissapear that is just bro science. that is it. you don't need 300g of protein a day, that person who told you that is an imbecile.
