Caffeine is a natural diuretic so the caffeine in Green Tea would help a little in shedding some water. Also a really good antioxidant.

In everything I've ever read or experienced it's not all that for fat loss. Green tea as a fat burner tends to be more of a gimmick to hike supplement prices in my personal experience. It is a pretty good diuretic (better than coffee). You can also try "Weightless Cranberry" tea for a diuretic and a change up from water. I know the name sounds dumb as hell, but you can get it at Whole Foods or other natural markets, and it's worked for me in getting rid of water. I couple it with Everyday Detox from the same maker, and it works quite well. Just don't overkill it, some of the herbs in these teas can cause some pretty rough lower GI disturbances if you have too much. Also, I'd try these a fair way out from contest, so you know how you'll react. You don't wanna end up with the runs and dry out too fast and in a world of hurt, or end up holding more because you reacted poorly to an ingredient in the tea.
