I think the greater concern regarding the WMDs is if they fall into the hands of the rebels, some of whom have links to Al Qaeda and possibly other terrorist groups. This is why Israel is prepared to intervene in case such a transition happens. The Assad regime has stated they will use them where there is a foreign offensive but not on their own people. But never know what they might do if pressed hard enough from the rebels.

Someone needs to be prepared to back up Israel so this shit ball doesn't gain momentum.

I have changed over the years, let them all kill themselves. I'm not sure why we have any business in other countries business anyway. If they threaten us then deal them and make it clear that's what we'll do. Israel is as bad as the rest of the middle east only slightly elevated in my view.

I'm not an American but I agree Anomeley. I think throwing taxpayer money or young American soldiers lives at the problems is not going to solve anything. This has been going on for years and it should be clear by now the political class and lawmakers have absolutely no idea how to solve these things.
