I need help merging 3 pics into 1

Anyone use ACDSee10?

I'm trying to merge several pictures together to form 1 picture, like they do when someone says a photograph is "Photoshopped" and they refer to the fact that some thing or things were added to an original picture. I want to take like 3-4 pictures of my sons, and combine them to make 1 bigger picture out of the combined pictures. Like 1-2 with them playing baseball, 1 with them dressed up before an awards banquet and maybe 1 more with them relaxing at home. Make the dressed up 1 the main picture in the middle of the combination, then place the other pics at different places and in different sizes around that main picture, if that makes sense. If memory serves me right your supposed to use a layering program but I didn't see anything in ACDSee10 to do this, unless it's an add on program or something.

Even if you don't use ACDSee maybe you use Photoshop or another program maybe you can steer me in the right direction as to what to look for in the main program?

Yes, I guess it would be a collage only with like 3-4 pics instead of a whole board full of them.

Not sure, would have to see what exactly both of them look like.

can u find like an example of what you're looking for...then I can see how much time it takes..if it's quick i'll see if i have some spare time..if it's more tedious i can definitely point you in the right direction
