    Default Reverse Grip Bench

Tried it the last chest workout I did on an incline with my wrist wraps nice and tight so it didn't bug my wrists.I started at 95 and ended up at a cautious 155.(Bar to warm up)Anyway didn't really feel that big a difference in the upper pecs but my right shoulder was irritated a bit.I used the grip that I normally would for bench presses.Should it be narrower??Any feedback/insight is appreciated........

After a pec tear a few years ago, reverse grip is the only way I do flat benches. If you go any narrower than your normal grip you will be using mostly tri's and delts, very little pec. I prefer to go slightly wider than a normal grip in order to incorporate as much pec as possible. Be sure and use a spotter for all working sets, it's pretty easy to lose the bar when locking out on a maximal push.

lol... I do my working sets with 315 and get a lot of strange looks. I can tell that they are wondering if I just haven't figured out how to use the proper grip, but no one wants to tell the big guy he's doing it wrong!

Yeah, as said above, you gotta go with a wide grip.......

I've read studies that showed significantly more muscle activation in the upper pecs and front delts with reverse grip.......

I've never done it with flat bench.......
