    Default Genital Herpies? WTF?

I met this really cool chick about a month ago. Things have gone slow.....kind of what I needed after some shitty relationships. Over the weekend she spent the night with me and things were great until I was about to go downtown on her. She stopped me and wanted to talk. "do you want the good news or the bad news" she says. I am expexting her to say she is on her rag or something along that line. She has GENITAL HERPIES(bad news) and has not had an outbreak for 2 years(supposed good news) because of meds she is on. Needless to say things kind of haulted there. We spent the rest of the night together and most of the next day as well. Do I run like hell? Can I protect myself? I really like her alot but what is a guy to do?
I told her it said alot for her character to tell me and I was very thankfull she did. I did some research but really what would you do?

Shit, I didn't see this earlier.

If you plan on staying with this girl forever then go ahead and risk catching it.

Imagine if you catch it and then you guys break up, all the pussy you're going to miss out on, either that or be the douche that goes around not telling girls about the herpes he gave them. Lots of difficult conversations in your future if this blister packing babe doesn't work out.

dont worry if you get it, it will actually help you to get laid more because so many little whores have it now. They will be happy to hear you already have it so you wont think you got it from them.

It must be more common in other areas because you don't hear about as many people around here having it and everyone is afraid of getting it.

They had an ad campaign about it here and they were saying that something like 1 in 5 people have it. This is what you get with a culture that encourages casual sex and sexual promiscuity

My good mate was dating this nice girl. I didn't know a lot about her but knew that they were both happy with each other both in & out of the bedroom.
After about a year of dating my mate calls me up & tells me that his girlfriend went to the Docters for tests as she would have these "break outs" & would be very ichy inside of her Ver JJ. Turned out yes she did have Herpies, approx for about 3 years the docter had worked out.

Apprantly she didn't know she had it as she thought it was a unrinal infection & it wasn't untell she found this docter who did further tests on her..
Lucky for my mate its a lot harder for a female to pass herpies on to a male than what it is for a male to pass onto a female & he came back all clear.

Now he really like her but as soon as the test came back he couldn't bring himself to sleep with her, even when she was making moves on him.

We spoke a number of times of how he felt about her & could he bare risking himself to catching/living with such a infection for the rest of his life..
In the end I think he felt he couldn't see her as spending the rest of his life with etc & this caused them to break up (as like most people, sex plays a big part in a healthy relationship).

I contracted herpes from I am not sure where but I was married and as it turned out she was fooling around, so it is a pretty good guess it came from her although she says she never has had it to this day.

herpes can live in the base of the spine for years and years before any outbreak will occur so you never really know when or where you got it.

you could be with a girl that does not think or know she has it anyway..

I am now married with my second wife for 11 years and she never gets it from me. I only have an out break about once in maybe 2 years when I am run down or stressed.
Testosterone production begins in the brain. When the hypothalamus detects a deficiency of testosterone in the blood, it secretes a hormone called gonadotrophin-releasing hormone to the pituitary gland. This prompts the pituitary to secrete luteinizing hormone (LH), which then prompts the Leydig cells in the testes to produce testosterone.

I'm seriously not trying to be rude to you but do you honestly think people go around announcing it to the world that they have it? Telling people you have a sexually transmitted disease seriously limits relationships and the chance to get laid. That damn Valtrex medication allows people to spread herpes while concealing that they have herpes. 1 in 5 people over 16 years of age in the US currently have herpes now and that does not count the herpes cold sores.

Condoms do not prevent the spread of herpes. This is why STDs have spread so fast because people have this illusion of "safe" sex but are in fact spreading it.

Anyway, if she is on meds and hasnt had an outbreak for 2 years the chances of you get it are next to none. Use a rubber and the chances are pretty much non-existant.

If this girl is marriage material and there is next to no chance of getting it stick with her. I mean, Saide was with a guy for years and never got it. There are lots of other people in the same situation.

If it's an hurdle you cant get over then you cant get past it and move on.
I know this thread is old but the thread abovie is the worst advice to give anyone when it comes to herpes. Condoms do not stop the spread of herpes and is caused by genital to genial contact. You can still get it even if a girl is not having an outbreak. Herpes is not curable because it is a virus. Remember herpes is the gift that keeps on giving and you will have it 60 years from now if you get it today.

The good news is that is not fatal. Bad news is the medication for herpes is very expensive. Like $300 a month!

TO anyone that comes across this situation. Break up with the girl right away or do not do anything sexual until you are 100% she is the one. I'd even wait to be married just in case. Not worth the risk of breaking up a few months later and then having to tell every girl from then on that you have herpes.

Why do I know this information? Because I have to educate teens about this bullshit every single freaking day. I was absolutely shocked at the amount of STD's out there today. Most STDs show no symptoms so most people do not even know they have them. Anyone that tells you, "I don't have anything cause I got tested." is full of shit! It takes like 1-3 years to be 100% sure about STD testing.

The good news is that it is more difficult to get a STD if you are a heterosexual male. Homosexual males are in a whole different category and generally carry more STD's than sexually active heterosexual females.

Well......... Yes because I've had plenty of people admit to me that they had it.

I know it's out there and everywhere but it's probably not as widespread here as in bigger cities. I still worry about it and always ask.

i knowingly boned and ate out a chick who had genital herpes. she was decent enough to tell me, so i figured i'd be decent enough to return the favor. not smart, i know. she was gangbusters in the sack, though and hot. from what i understood, i was only in danger if she had an outbreak. that almost two years ago and i've since been tested for STDs and luckily i have none, including genital herpes. i have a serious problem w/condoms...i fucking HATE them and refuse to wear them. wish there was another way. also, thinking about getting a vasectomy as i have nightmares about impregnating someone i don't even know.

Holy shit I remember seeing this thread a while back and thought to myself, "dude, dont go for it". Today, Its been 2 months since I got diagnosed with type 2 herpes....fuck, it sucks!! Curiously enough I got it the first week I got divorced....shit. I've had one outbreak and I feel just fine on the meds and supps that are recommended.

I just met a nice girl, really nice girl and well, I have to tell her I have this shit. So even if its considered a bothersome skin infection, it sucks cause of the social stigma. I now realize I am limited to who I can date or even fuck.

It seems you've made your decision, and it was the correct one. If only I knew this bitch I fucked had herpes, I would have stayed away, period.

I don't consider it a dirty thing, it just sucks with the outbreaks. I've only had one and it fucking hurt!! LOL!! I put this lotion (Dimyclear) that makes you heal faster, but forgot to read the fine print (DO NOT OVER APPLY) and I over used it. Needless to say, I could not walk for two days!! LMAO!! Now that I think about it I laugh, but when I was in pain I cried...yeah...it hurt that much. I hear for women its worse cause they can have internal sores...ouch. And I was lucky as my OB was mild as per the doctor's observations...only getting milder with time...ahhh...

If she has the balls to have "the talk" with you, then damn, what a set of balls she has. I wish she had "the talk" with me before we fucked. Anyway, good luck.

My ex wife (2 relationships back) had it. Told me before hand. In ten years I never got it.

She was very good at recognizing the tingling feeling when she thought she was going to have an outbreak.

Most people on a one night stand don't discuss this shit. Those are the risks of anonymous sex I suppose.

i know bro. i'm starting to accept that there's no other way. if it's a chick i'm not super into but need to bust my nut, then i'll put one on. if it's a chick i'm really turned on by then i might go either way.

i boned a random a few mo. ago & i saw a pill container on the shelf in her apt. when she left the room i quickly googled the pill's name. go figure...it was for the HERP. she made the choice easy for me. right before we got to boning i segued our conversation into STDs & the HERP and she's like "well, most people have it blah blah". that's when i knew not only did she sleep around often, but she wasn't to be trusted. either way i was putting a bag on that night but damn...i'm dealin wit degenrate animals out there...sheesh!

And that's why it's fun...no? it's like picking out the nicest looking apple out of the barrel, yet you know there might be chance it has a worm in the core. in any event, there's only one way to find out.

Did that make any sense or only seem like gibberish? seriously, some of my funnest moments in social setting have been making out passionately with some female i had just met minutes ago. it seemed somehow freeing and liberating as if we were both thinking the same thing at that moment and no words had to be spoken, like two wild animals or something that had just gotten down to the crux of the matter and we both decided it'd be best to skip the BS. does it make any sense? i know you used to club...was it exciting like that for you too?

Fuck yeah...I still go to clubs I play in some of them. I've been behaving though due to my cheaters should just crawl away and die policy.

But...I'll be back out again tomorrow night. I'm liking the girls I am meeting don't believe my age and thank God for gym and all those years of living a vampires existence...sleeping all day and working all night...only to crash at dawn in my 20's lol But honestly...no one is thinking anything when it's ON at 10mins into meeting. I know exactly what you mean. Its been a while since I acted on that though.

But I am enjoying being back. So far the only sex I have regretted is the planned hook up. I have gone back out there and "random" is easier with music slamming and head floating at 3am than trying to set up something in advance. That was a mistake and really kinda bland. The best is when you can't hear them say their name over the music and you KNOW they didn't even ask yours

    I really don't like "bland" unless it's in a relationship...in which case it's normal...not bland.

But one night anonymous sex I prefer to be...different and exhausting.(still getting my game back though for now)

I still have no trouble coming home at 8am. Its just I then sleep for 12hrs straight. Test helps a lot and so does being in"the band" or at least being part of that scene. I had almost forgotten the perks of being a musician even though it's just for fun these days. It seems since I was 16-17, girls think "I'd love you to teach me to play drums" is an original come-on.

What the fuck were we talking about again? That's right...herpes.

As David Coverdale from Whitesnake says:

    " Don't be daft, don't be silly....put a snake-skin on your Willy."
I love the guitar solo in "Still of the Night" right before coverdale says "over here baby". i go through phases where i'm not as into being in the clubs, but then the bug comes & bites & i can't stay away from them too long because there's always hot babes in them. i don't use any supps so when i stay out late i pay for it the next day. i don't drink either, but still the lack of sleep kills me the next day if i have to wake early. currently, i usually need a day of recoup. kinda sucks.

Of course not, that fucking cunt!! I wish she fucking dies that bitch, but then again, 80% of the people who have it don't know...so I guess I'll give her a free pass and seek her so we can fuck at least....LOL.

It sucks to know you have limited options. That or fuck hookers only...LOL...but even then, you risk getting AIDS...so fuck no...I'm keeping this shit to myself until I find a nice girl.

That's what they tell you. Lots more know it than will admit to it. Plenty of women know they have it and just don't tell the guy(I'm sure guys do too).

My brother's ex-wife's brother was dating and fucking a girl for months. She finally told him she had herpes. He asked why she hadn't told him. She said because she loved him and didn't want to lose him(WTF???). What did the idiot do? He ended up marrying the selfish cunt!

Dating in high school seemed to be so much easier. After high school, I had dated three different women with an STD. Luckily they were honest people and told me. Two of the. Had HPV and the other had Herpes.

What makes HPV scary is that men tend to not show signs of it for much longer periods of time after contracting it and false negatives are common for men also.

For any of you unfamiliar, HPV is also not curable and is responsible for genital warts

and one of the leading causes in cervical cancer in women... in rare cases it has also been linked to oral, anal and penile cancer in people with depressed immune systems... after re-reading this thread i really hope the OP'er chose not to go with that gal... STD's are no joke, or nothing to be taken lightly...

Herpes is a skin condition, unlike most STD's where it directly affects the reproductive system. That said, fuck herpes....FUCK HERPES!!!

AHHHH!! Fuck!! Man, I dont even get shity outbreaks like some mofos but damn this is a major stress point in my life! Just imagine trying to tell a girl you got herpes...good luck with that.
