    Default Uncontrollable itching???

Anyone know what would cause uncontrollable itching every night about 10PM? This is the weirdest shit I've ever seen, every day about 6PM I start to itch on the palms of my hands and the bottoms of my feet, only there's no bumps or anything like poison ivy, no bug bites, etc. I'm not taking any chems other than the same Oxycodone I've been taking for the past 8-9 years. Not eating anything out of the normal, no weird food, nothing different. Same laundry detergent I've used for the past 6 months. I did notice about a week ago I broke out all over with what looked like pimples only they were bigger, raised more and red. Where ever I itched and scratched it would get worse and look hive like. Thats gone now though for the most part, I get a little on the top of my shoulders and behind my neck but its minor. The only thing now is the feet and hands for the most part and its driving me crazy I've tried both Benedryl and Gold Bond to stop it and nothing does anything for it. I guess I should mention I tried some Tren in sachet form I get from a friend of mine but that was only about 5ml, it caused a very painful left bicep that swelled up so I stopped using it and the arm is fine now, but come to think of it the arm did itch some in that area to when it 1st happened and it was hot to the touch I thought it might be an abscess but it went away within days.

    Any guesses?

change your detergent...get some of that non-allergenic clear shit...

you may have been using the same detergent for a while,,but allergies can develop out of nowhere...that's the first place to start.

just like utvol31 sometimes long term exposure to a drug or chemical can cause a reaction after many years of exposure and no reaction. it happens.

my buddy worked with salt water fish for many, many years and then all of sudden just recently he gets a big time rash if he exposes himself to salt water because of the sythetics used to make salt water for aquariums, he is now allergic to them. continous exposur can cause allegries , this even can happe nwith food if you have the same item to much.

Something like this happened to me a few years ago and it turned out that I had become allergic to beer. You've probably become allergic to something that you've been with all along, I would look at that oxycodone crap first.

Oh Jesus don't say the Oxy's without them I'm screwed we tried everything you can imagine for the pain and nothing else works that isn't worse. I definitely think its some kind of allergic reaction, now comes the fun part of trial and error, I'll start removing things until I see improvement. Problem is I can't stop the Oxy's I take them every 4 hours and have for the past 8-9 years, and no one tell me I have to stop or I have a problem its medically prescribed for severe nerve damage and pain through a pain management doctor.

I was going to say the oxy's also....I developed a severe reaction to sulfa drugs after taking them for years....hives...scary hives.

    Ask your doc ASAP.

Hey TJ, a buddy of mine came down with Scabies a couple years ago. I had never even heard of it. He was in hell for quite a while. The itching would start every night, he was losing sleep, bags under his eyes, I was calling him "itchy/scratchy" and making fun of him. Anyway, he tried changing detergent and spent quite a bit of time at the dermatologist before they figured out what it was. They finally gave him a tube of some type of lotion to put on his whole body for a couple days and it took care of it. I'm not saying that's what you have but it sounds pretty familiar. The thing that made me think of it, is that the itching doesn't start until the evening, a classic sign of scabies. Worth looking in to.

"Scabies is caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei, variety hominis, as shown by the Italian biologists Diacinto Cestoni in the 18th century. It produces intense, itchy skin rashes when the impregnated female tunnels into the stratum corneum of the skin and deposits eggs in the burrow. The larvae, which hatch in 3-10 days, move about on the skin, molt into a "nymphal" stage, and then mature into adult mites. The adult mites live 3-4 weeks in the host's skin.

The motion of the mite in and on the skin produces an intense itch which may resemble an allergic reaction in appearance. The presence of the eggs produces a massive allergic response which, in turn, produces more itching.

Scabies is transmitted readily, often throughout an entire household, by skin-to-skin contact with an infected person (e.g. bed partners, schoolmates, daycare), and thus is sometimes, although inaccurately, classed as a sexually transmitted disease. Spread by clothing, bedding, or towels is a less significant risk, though possible."

Lay off about the meds, he is a grown man and needs them for a legit medcial reason. Yes, it is too bad that some people abuse them and give the ma bad name to anyone who needs them for legit purposes. Hell, I need anti-anxiety meds and can'ttake them b/c I will abuse them....

I think I found the problem, I switched dish detergent a month or 2 ago and went to this Ultra Palmolive Oxy Plus Foam, its the stuff you use when you do dishes by hand the kitchen in my apartment isn't big enough for a dish washer so I have to wash them by hand. I was fine all day until I did the dishes and a few minutes after I was done the itching started.
