Ive been using the "blast and cruise" method for a few years now. Ive come off a few times, but not long enough to really count it. I decided to come off for the summer and ran PCT. ( hcg, clomid, nolva) I was expecting it to be horrible. My last shot of test was a few months ago, and have finished pct since then. At first my energy and strength at the gym wasnt so good and I almost started up again. Its been a few months now and I am in shock at how fast I seem to be coming around. My workouts dont seem to be suffering and my sex drive isnt that bad. The sex drive seems a little low, but I think its just that I forgot what a normal sex drive is like. lol I havent had my test levels checked, I did just have all my other bloods done and everything came back perfect.
I did high doses of hcg the last month before I came off, I think that had something to do with it. I just wanted to share this with everyone because it seems like we only hear negatives about coming off after long cycles. I do miss my constant hard-on though. ![]() |

Well I will be coming off for a couple months at the end of the summer. To qualify for HRT and possibly to have a minor surgery on a nagging shoulder injury. Glad to hear your success story because honestly I am fucking dreading it.

i hate to be the negative one here but if i were you i wouldnt get too excited yet.
i have experianced what you are going through now but your nat test levels and sex drive may still decline. if i were you id give it another 2 months, get your bloods done then and if everything is ok especially libido then i would consider it safe to start another cycle. |

But hey bro I AM very interested in your post and Im sure many others are to! Will you tell us exactly what you used nolva, hcg ect.. and how you used it to come off. Im comming up on the end of my 16 weeker but I may carry it on out to 20 weeks or more and I would love to hear some good advice on comming off without crashing so hard. Like you said, Im going to miss all those hard-ons and the abnormal sex life that will prob. decline. Did you take HCG during your cycling? Give us a heads up bro and thanks for shareing... the best bet would be to get your test levels checked, becasue as someone said earlier i would not get so excited yet, becasue when you run long cycles, with multiple injections in the same muscle groups a build up of scurr tissue may appear, and thus prolong the absorption of the drug into the bloodstream. That is why sometimes it takes about 60 to even 70 days for drugs like deca for example to clear the system. The more cc's you shoot, and the longer the duaration of a cycle, the better possibility your recovery will take so much longer.
The only way to asses whether you have recovered is to have yout test levels, lf and fsh checked. If your lh/fsh levels are good, then it measn that your pituary works and the test that you have, whether it be verly low or high is yours, endogenous. |

I only took about 4 months off before starting again. Everything was going good, I was having good workouts and my sex drive was up. My levels probably werent 100% but I know they were pretty close. The first month or two after coming off sucked, but i came around pretty quick.

Fellas, up until 8 years ago I ran all types of gear in very heavy amounts for long cycles. It was tough afterwards many times, but eventually I came back to normal and stayed that way (normal energy and horney often). I was off hormones for years w/o any sign of problems. In my experience, the negative effects from getting off lasts at most three months with full return back to normal shortly after that. With proper PCT its possible to shorten that timeframe, although it still takes some time even with the best thought out PCT.

Talked to my doc about this, and he said its a crap shoot. He has seen guys who were on for years come off and make a full recovery w/ PCT. He has seen other guys who have done 1-2 cycles and are completely shut down for life and need to be on TRT for good. So it seems to me like it depends on the response of each individual. Some people are genetically lucky, and some people are fucked. But dont rain on this guy's parade; if he feels sufficiently recovered, maybe he is, although I agree he should get his T checked right away to see if his bloods match the way he is feeling.
