Also, I have found that take your steaks, put in a large bowl or tupperware and pour in coke and soy sauce and some course ground pepper. Let soak in for about an hour or two. The steaks come out great. Taste better than any restaurant.
Hmm...you're a Bobby Flay disciple.

The Cajun Injector was my stage name back in my porn "acting" days

I also use vacuum pressure to marinate sometimes. I use this gadget here that someone on bolex actually recomended a while back (there was an old thread before the server crash all about steaks and rubs/marinades then also).

Usually for two rib eye I use 1 whole can of coke, 2 - 3 tablespoons soy sauce and a couple splashes of worcestershire sauce (if you don't have any put in about a table spoon of vinegar). Whole ground pepper. Marinate for about 2 hours or overnight it is your call.

Marinate should be able to cover both steaks in a bowl. Add more soy sauce if needed. Marinate should be a little sweet to the taste and can taste the salt from the soy. Good Luck

I've marinated with diet coke and it doesnt usually work out too well. The aspartame is heat sensitive, so as soon as you cook it the sweetness dissapears.

If you could find an off brand cola that has splenda instead of aspartame, that would work alot better as splenda stands up to the heat of cooking.

Although, if you dont particuallry care for the sweetness then I guess it wont hurt, you should still get the flavor from the kola nut and other essential oils in the soda.

Men who know steaks choose ribeye. No marinade, no seasoning. Just grill and dabble salt and worsteshire to taste per bite. Medium rare, and dont make any cuts into the meat before its cooked.

Prime rib comes in 2nd place.

Then I like the specialty parts of the cow like Sweetbreads and the tail. Oh and truipe stew...mmmm mmm bitch.

Real men bite off what they want and ride the rest of the cow home.

I noticed that too, so did my wife. She said, that guys got tits! LOL

I like all steak, T-bone #1, ribeye #2,filet#3,strip #4. I know sirloin is the best one for you, but its my least favorite. Although my father-in-law makes a mean sirloin.I think he beats the shit out of it for an hour before grilling!
I also prefer the angus meat with the steroids still in it. Not that pussy hormone free shit! LOL
