Just spoke to Justin Wessels a couple of hours ago, it was morning over there and he has about an 8 hr wait until prejudging for his class (Class 2) commences at 3 pm local time.
He woke up nice and dry and is just pushing in the last few meals to complete the loading. I think his package will be a repeat of what we saw in Perth 2 weeks ago. There are 23 athletes in his Class, only the top 6 make it through to the finals later in the evening. I am confident Justin has the goods to place well but like all shows it just depends who rocks up. No intel on any of the others as Justin did his own thing accommodation wise and has been bunkered down the past couple of days. Will post throught he night as info comes to hand. MA92 |

Coral is on deck ... finnaly .... the airlines lost all her luaggage in transit and she got them back sometime last night. Talk about stress. Major props to all nabba officials and nabba Australia people who had a contigencey plan in place just incase. Think shes a bit fried from it all and the stress, but shes really stoked to be at the 60th nabba anniversary show !
Prejudging about to start and .... txt message : "ITS FUCKING FREEZING OVER HERE ! " lol |

fuck knows ? yu would think shes got enought beef to muscle out the best of them .. hey I may have got it wrong too , maybe the stress of the luaggage stuff up undid her a bit too, travel etc , maybe some politics the old earn your stripes thang ... just have to put her back there next year , if anyone can figure it out she will , tenacious lil bugger Dosnt take away from the awsome effort at the worlds and localy this year. She will be back , fantastic team in her corner ... Cant wait to see pics of the lineup and comparisons. Bet shes in an ice cream induced coma at the moment thou lol ... think shes been in prep of one sort or another since the start of the year. Anyone got word on any of the other competitors ??? |

Results are in.
19 Guys showed up for Class 2 (23 were registered) and it was one of the toughest on the day. At the end of the prejudging Justin was announced in the top 6 so he got to come back and contest the final, do his individual routine and the posedown etc. At the end of the day he landed in 6th spot which he is ecstatic about. 11 years away from the sport and he makes a clean sweep of the Vic and the Aussies and lands 6th on the world stage. Top effort and a great result for him and Aussie. He is totally shattered and is resting up and enjoying some decent tucker, I will get a more detailed update from him when he's back in a few days (beats txt messages at 4 am LOL). |

OK.... Just got confirmation that Justin got 6th place in what was considered the hardest line-up. He is over the moon about his placing given his come-back to bodybuilding. He was up against 19 other guys so he did extremely well. I am really happy for him and I know this won't be he's last attempt. He is definitely looking at getting a little bigger and continuing his success even further. I'm sure MrAust will fill you in on a little more at some stage when he wakes up today and gets his ass out of bed....
Congratulations Justin!!!!.... ![]() |
