I have never had a blood test before and plan on getting it done in the next week or two. My knowledge is very limited on the subject. As a natty, would there be anything on that list that I dont need to have done, or that I should add?

Thank-you

Is the quack at the local medical centre going to know what to make of these results?

majority of them will not.All pathology labs produce 2 copies of your results.one is kept in your life with your gp and the other should be offered to you by your GP.

you can always PM me your results and I will discuss them with you

Great list and great thread. May I suggest adding fasting morning cortisol, and 17OH pregnenalone ( if cortisol high and DHEAS low ). Also in the test panel add SHBG.

Nice AC,but you dont really need all these blood tests, but they are a good baseline on what you may need. And everybody is a individual,so a 24-25 year old may need different blood results,to say a person who may be around 50years old.

The bare minimum would be euc (electrolytes, urea, creatinine), maybe cmp (calcium, magnesium, phosphate), liver function tests, thyroid function tests, cholesterol. These are probably a safe and bare minimum.

As i said everybody is different and everybody has different lifestyles and circumstances.

Take for instance a 24yo, he doesnt need fancy blood tests like albumin, crp, psa, urine protein etc.

All cool AC.

I guess everybody has there opinions.

I still dont understand why you need all these blood tests. Some are totally irrelevant.
